Now that the American Hockey League season has been completed, the Calgary Flames have recalled several bodies from the Adirondack Flames to serve as “black aces,” and practice with the injured players and scratches.
Full list after the jump!
The Flames have recalled:
  • D Ryan Culkin
  • D Mark Cundari
  • D Brett Kulak
  • D John Ramage
  • D Patrick Sieloff
  • F Kenny Agostino
  • F David Wolf
  • F Turner Elson
  • F Bill Arnold
  • F Emile Poirier
  • F Max Reinhart
All of these players have valid NHL deals right now and are eligible to play in the playoffs if needed. Kulak, Ramage, Wolf, Poirier and Reinhart had previously spent time with the Flames this season.
They have also brought up F Austin Carroll from the Victoria Royals. He also has a valid NHL deal that is slated to begin next year. (But hasn’t been officially recalled.)
Also brought up are F Garnet Hathaway, D Kenney Morrison and D Dustin Stevenson. Stevenson has no NHL deal whatosever, but Hathaway and Morrison do have deals for next season. But since neither player was on the Flames’ reserve list as of the trade deadline, they cannot play in the playoffs.
We’ll go into more depth in terms of who these guys are a bit tomorrow, but for now, they are with the big club.
UPDATE: Carroll is listed on the press release as NOT officially being recalled, but joining team. So he’s not eligible to play.
