Report card day!!
This past week has not been great if you’re cheering for the tank. If you’re cheering for the present-day Flames, though, it was great! The Flames got four of a possible six points: falling to the Arizona Coyotes 4-1 (as they are wont to do this season, for some reason), but crushing the St. Louis Blues 7-4, and beating the Winnipeg Jets 4-1 for good measure.
We saw a bit of player movement over that time as well. Dennis Wideman’s return sent Tyler Wotherspoon back to Stockton, but it’s the forward position where things have really been shifting. Kenny Agostino came up for two games – and then was sent down, and now, Freddie Hamilton is up.
Sam Bennett and T.J. Brodie, sadly, were unable to go this past week. (Or not sadly, if you’re in favour of the tank. Hockey fandom is very confusing nowadays.)
Niklas Backstrom has yet to make his Flames debut – but that’s expected to happen this Sunday against the Montreal Canadiens, the first of a back-to-back. In the meantime, here are the Flames regulars in general and call-ups of the past week – go ahead and grade them!
