A few notes on the schedule

We’re told a television schedule is coming any day now.
Valentine’s Day is (a) a Sunday and (b) an off-day for the Flames.
We’ve bolded the three weird start times:
  • 2:00 p.m. at home against Toronto on Jan. 24 (a Sunday)
  • 11:00 a.m. in Ottawa on Feb. 27. (a Saturday)
  • 3:00 p.m. in Ottawa on Mar. 24 (a Wednesday)
Speaking of start times, there are eight 8:00 p.m. (or later) starts on school/work nights. Aside from those games, the late starts are primarily on Saturdays and the remainder of the games fit snugly between 5:00 and 7:00 p.m.
The 56-game schedule breaks down neatly into eight seven-game segments.
The quarter-marks of the schedule are every 14 games, which breaks down to Feb. 13, Mar. 13, Apr. 8 and May 8.
The trade deadline is Apr. 12. The Flames are off that day and have 13 games remaining following the deadline.
