The virtual Calgary Flames returned home from a disappointing three game road trip that saw them one of three outings. They faced the Tampa Bay Lightning on March 21 in their first game back from their trip.
They battled to a hard-fought 5-4 victory over Tampa Bay.

Lineups

Flames:
  • Forwards: Gaudreau-Monahan-Lindholm, Mangiapane-Backlund-Tkachuk, Lucic-Ryan-Dube, Bennett-Jankowski-Rieder
  • Defense: Giordano-Brodie, Hanifin-Hamonic, Gustafsson-Andersson
  • Goalies: Talbot starting, Rittich as backup
Talbot was good against New Jersey, so he gets another chance.

  • Defense: Hedman-Cernak, Sergachev-Shattenkirk, McDonagh-Bogosian

The game was tight for two periods. The Flames broke it open with three goals to open the third period, then withstood Tampa Bay’s late push to capture two big points.
