The Calgary Flames will be searching for their first victory on home ice since returning from the all-star break when they host the San Jose Sharks on Tuesday as -190 favourites on the NHL odds at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com.
Calgary is coming off a crushing 8-3 loss to the Edmonton Oilers on Saturday, which marked the team’s fourth defeat in six overall outings going into Tuesday night’s matchup at Scotiabank Saddledome.

Sharks at Flames | OddsShark Matchup Report

The Flames were outscored by a wide 13-7 margin in home losses to the Oilers and St. Louis Blues last week, putting the brakes on the three-game home winning streak they took into the all-star break. And overall the team has surrendered a worrisome 5.25 goals per game over its past four contests, powering a 4-0 run for the OVER in totals betting.
While the Flames have seen opponents fill the net in recent outings, the team’s offense has failed to produce with consistency. Calgary has tallied a meagre 2.55 goals per game over its past nine outings, and has been far from dominant when earning the win, with each of the team’s past seven victories coming by just a single goal.
Calgary’s current slide has cost them valuable ground in the battle for top spot in the Pacific Division standings. The Flames briefly climbed to the top of the divisional standings during a five-game win streak in early January but have tumbled to fourth place during their current swoon, five points back of first-place Vancouver, and remain in the wild card picture with a four-point lead over both Chicago and Winnipeg.
After closing out a three-game homestand with a 3-0 loss to Tampa Bay on Saturday night, the Sharks arrive in Calgary sporting +165 odds at online betting sites for Tuesday’s contest.
Overall, the Sharks have scored just 10 total goals while falling to defeat in five of their past six games. The team has particularly struggled on the road, going 2-8-2 over their past 12, but the Sharks have claimed wins in eight of their last 10 meetings with the Flames, including victories in three of their past four visits to Calgary.
