T.J. Brodie Out 3-6 Weeks With Broken Bone In Hand
By Ryan Pike
8 years agoThere was some good news and bad news down at the Scotiabank Saddledome today.
The good news is that forward Paul Byron, recovering from injuries to his…seemingly everything (wrist surgery most recently), is now cleared for full practice. The bad news? Well…
The injury reportedly occurred in the third period of Calgary’s 3-1 home loss to the Edmonton Oilers on Monday night.
The silver lining is the injury is that it probably gives somebody – likely Ryan Wilson or Jakub Nakladal – a chance to get into the NHL for a few weeks. Presumably now the Flames are without both Brodie and Ladislav Smid for the first month of the regular season.
The pre-season continues tomorrow when the Flames go to Denver to visit the Colorado Avalanche.
