The Calgary Flames are going for history tonight in Anaheim. The bad kind of history.
In the history of the National Hockey League, no team has lost 24 consecutive regular season road games against a single team. The Flames have lost 23 straight games at the Honda Center against the Anaheim Ducks. They have a 0-18-5 record in that span.
Here’s a quick glance at Calgary’s utter futility in Orange County and the 23 reasons they utterly hate going to Disneyland.

    THIS AND THAT

Calgary’s home record against Anaheim since their last win at the Honda Center: 16-8-1. So it’s not like Anaheim has had their number for 12 years.
Calgary’s longest active regular season losing streaks in road buildings:
    • 0 games: Arizona, Colorado, Columbus, Minnesota, Montreal, Nashville, Pittsburgh, San Jose, St. Louis, Washington
    • 1 game: Boston (3/5/2015), Chicago (10/24/2016), Dallas (12/17/2015), Detroit (3/6/2015), Edmonton (4/2/2016), Florida (11/8/2014), New Jersey (2/25/2015), Philadelphia (3/3/2015), Vancouver (2/6/2016)
    • 2 games: Buffalo (12/14/2013), Carolina (1/13/2014), NY Islanders (2/6/2014), Tampa Bay (4/3/2014), Winnipeg (10/19/2014)
    • 4 games: Los Angeles (1/19/2015), NY Rangers (12/7/2008), Ottawa (1/14/2011), Toronto (1/15/2011)
    • 23 games: Anaheim (1/19/2004)
If you add up all their current active losing streaks in arenas that aren’t Anaheim, it’s only 35 games combined.
