Who Comes In As Black Aces?

The Adirondack Flames complete their first (and only) season as the Flames’ AHL affiliate tonight when they play their final regular season game against Rochester.
After tonight, the limitation on Flames recalls is lifted, now that the AHL season is done and the Baby Flames are finished. That means the Flames can bring up some kids to give them a taste of the playoffs, and if nothing else expand the skating group so that players taking optional practices aren’t skating all by their lonesome with the coaches.
So who’s likely coming up?
First off, who’s healthy and who’s out of the team’s good graces? Presumably, the Flames will call Ryan Huska and say “So who are you sending us?” Who is available? Let’s check out the Twitter of the excellent Flames beat writer, Diana Nearhos, with her notes from last game.
So based on this, who might be coming up?
  • Forwards: Wolf, Arnold and Poirier are locks. I’d also say that Reinhart is probably a lock given his strong play of late. Hathaway is also a lock as long as he’s healthy. Whether or not Turner Elson or Kenny Agostino comes up probably depends on numbers.
  • Defense: Morrison, Ramage and Kulak are locks. Sieloff is a maybe, as he’s been primarily been playing fourth line forward with all the injuries to AHL forwards.
  • Goalies: Ortio will come back up. With three goalies already in Calgary, I can’t see them bringing in anybody else.
I wouldn’t also be shocked to see Austin Carroll join the Flames from the WHL, as his Victoria Royals are out of the playoffs.
