On Thursday&#8217;s episode of Barn Burner, Boomer, Pinder, and Rhett previewed the Boston Bruins visiting the Dome on Thursday evening, as well as a potential hole that the Bruins could fill with a trade for Noah Hanifin.

The last time these two teams clashed was the first game back from the All-Star break. The Flames came out firing to kick off their eastern road trip with a dominant 4-1 victory. While <a href="https://flamesnation.ca/news/calgary-flames-game-day-57-a-battle-with-the-bruins-7pm-mt">the Flames go for the season series sweep tonight</a>, the boys broke down what tonight&#8217;s rematch could look like.
&#8220;The last game was a 4-1 sleepwalk for the Bruins.&#8221; said Boomer, &#8220;That was a down spot for the Boston Bruins and they are going to be just fine.&#8221;
Pinder added on the Bruins less than stellar performance, &#8220;They gotta be better, that&#8217;s probably as bad as they&#8217;ve looked all year. They had four home losses before that game and the Flames were all over them.&#8221;
An interesting storyline to keep an eye on sprouted from a Matt Grzelcyk lower-body injury after taking a whack from Oilers forward Ryan McLeod during last night&#8217;s game. He did not return after being helped off the ice by his teammates and heading down the tunnel. Grzelcyk is currently listed as a day-to-day. With Charlie McAvoy down a riding partner on the first pairing, it gives the Boston scouting staff a chance to get a look at one of the premier free agent defencemen available at this year&#8217;s trade deadline tonight.
&#8220;It does come back to again that there is an appetite for Hanifin to go to the US. He&#8217;s an American kid, wants to go to the US, Frank [Seravalli] has been talking about that for weeks,&#8221; said Boomer when the prospect of Hanifin potentially being involved in a trade to the Bruins arose. &#8220;I know he&#8217;s from Boston. I just see him as a Bruin and it does feel like he ends up there when it&#8217;s all done. I don&#8217;t feel Tampa. I&#8217;m sure he&#8217;d be fine in Tampa, but it does feel like he&#8217;d be a Bruin.&#8221;
The Bruins will have the chance to see Hanifin in action first-hand tonight to help determine if they want to throw their name in the ring of <a href="https://flamesnation.ca/news/32-thoughts-the-waiting-game-continues-amidst-a-maelstrom-of-deadline-craziness">the growing list of suitors that are also trying to make a move for the 27-year old</a>.
