It’s a four-game night in the National Hockey League, a precursor to a much busier Saturday (when there are 14 games as teams get set for their holiday breaks). There’s a clash of two strong teams with Boston and Winnipeg, an Original Six battle between Montreal and Chicago, plus match-ups between Philadelphia & Detroit and Edmonton & the NY Rangers.

Primary Bet – Montreal/Chicago over 6.5 total goals (+105)
A $1 bet pays out $2.05 – Essentially, do you think these teams will combine for seven goals? Neither have reputations as stout defensive teams, but both are chock full of speed, finesse and energetic offensive attacks. (If you’re more ambitious, over 7.5 total goals is +230.)
Secondary Bet – Adam Fox anytime goalscorer (+400)
A $1 bet pays out $5 – Friends, we know an Edmonton/Rangers game is a bit of an awkward watch. Who do you cheer for? In this scenario, we’re arguing that the lesser of two evils is the Rangers. And this game is a scheduled win facing a rested Rangers team against an Oilers group that beat New Jersey on Thursday evening. This game could be chaotic, but Fox scoring a goal offers a ton of potential value compared to other things on the board.
Tertiary Bet – Patrick Kane anytime goalscorer (+200)
A $1 bet pays out $3 – Flyers/Wings is another game that seems primed to be chaotic. But in the chaos, Kane hitting paydirt seems like a proposition with a good amount of value compared to other things out there. (Your mileage may vary.)
