It’s a quiet night in the National Hockey League, with just four games on tap. But man, some of those games could be very, very fun to watch. We get two proverbial clashes of titans as Dallas faces Florida and Carolina visits Edmonton! Plus Pittsburgh/Tampa Bay and Vegas/St. Louis could be fun as well.

Primary Bet – Dallas/Florida total goals over 6.5 (+140)
A $1 bet pays out $2.40 – Neither Dallas or Florida are supremely leaky defensive teams, but both of these teams have seemingly alternated between fairly low-scoring games and utter track meets lately. It’s not a guarantee, but these teams could play a 4-3 or 5-3 game and it wouldn’t feel like a wild divergence from each of their styles.
Secondary Bet – Connor McDavid (+130) or Leon Draisaitl (+130) anytime goalscorer
A $1 bet pays out $2.30 (for either) – If you’re a regular FlamesNation reader, we can understand feeling weird about rooting for any Oilers player to do anything positive in a game. We see you and we get it. But if you can swallow the proverbial bitter pill, McDavid and Draisaitl are supremely productive players.
Tertiary Bet – Andrei Svechnikov anytime goalscorer (+220)
A $1 bet pays out $3.20 – Now, if you want to root against the Oilers with every fibre of your being, we get you, too. Mr. Svechnikov – as Jordan Martinook regularly declares him during the ‘Canes’ pre-game rituals – is one of a few impressive potential Carolina scorers. We’re leaning Svechnikov because he has slightly longer odds to score a goal than Sebastian Aho (+140) or Seth Jarvis (+200), but your mileage may vary.
