After a hectic Thursday throughout the league, Friday’s schedule is a lean, mean trio of games in the National Hockey League. St. Louis visits a reeling Columbus team, Pittsburgh is in Florida, and Edmonton hosts Minnesota.

Primary Bet – Connor McDavid anytime goalscorer (+110)
A $1 bet pays out $2.10 – As we noted on Wednesday, we know, if you’re reading this website you probably don’t want to bet on the Oilers. But the Oilers are playing Minnesota, who are on the back half of a back-to-back, and neither McDavid or Leon Draisiatl (+120) scored in their rout of Carolina on Wednesday. McDavid doesn’t go quiet for very long, so he’s probably due to go off at some point.
Secondary Bet – Robert Thomas (+200) or Jake Neighbours (+225) anytime goalscorer
A $1 bet pays out $3.00 (Thomas) or $3.25 (Neighbours) – So, Columbus is having a bad season and St. Louis comes to town with a pretty solid record – and the Blues are outright favoured to win, which is pretty rare for a road team. If the Blues are going to win, it’ll be on the backs of their goal-scorers. Thomas and Neighbours are the best bets to hit the net for the visitors.
Tertiary Bet – Sam Reinhart anytime goalscorer (+155)
A $1 bet pays out $2.55 – Florida hosts Pittsburgh and are favoured to win. Reinhart’s offensive output jumps off the page – 17 goals in 25 games! – and until he cools off, you might as well bet on the hot hand. (Or stick, depending on what phraseology you prefer.)
