Its the classic late season battle between clearly established playoff team and the one clinging on to whatever hope they have left. The Kings boast the ability to be a strong defensive team and in acquiring Joonas Korpisalo solved their theoretical goaltending issues this season. Every time the Kings play the Flames they come prepared and ready to play strong through the neutral zone so if goals were hard to come by I would not be shocked.
Primary Bet – Phoenix Copley over 28.5 saves (-120)
A $1 bet pays out $1.83. These are my favourite Flames game day props to pick – you just have to wait until the starting goaltenders are announced for them to be listed. Calgary dumps tons of chances the other way making this constantly one of the best bets available.
Secondary Bet – Jonathan Huberdeau to get 1+ assists (+162)
A $1 bet pays out $2.62. He’s due and playing with the team’s most reliable two-way players in Mikael Backlund and Blake Coleman, so you’ll know he’ll play a lot and get the puck a lot.
Tertiary Bet – Nazem Kadri under 2.5 shots in the match (-105)
A $1 bet pays out $1.95. If you’re going to be in the coach’s doghouse I’m going to use that knowledge to my advantage. Look there is no guarantee Kadri still gets the ice time he’s had the last few games, but lately Sutter has stapled him to the bench when it matters so betting on a lack of shots isn’t a terrible logic path.
