The Islanders have been the same team for about 5 years now – really good defensively and they love to play in slugfests. Everything plays into helping their superstar goalie – Ilya Sorokin – lead them to victory. Calgary themselves are coming off their best team game all season, but should expect a better push-back from the Islanders. If the Flames top dogs are feeling it they could bust through with more offence than the Islanders typically allow.

Primary Bet – Under 6.5 total goals (-150)
A $1 bet pays out $1.66 – I do not think many goals are to be had in what could be a 3-2 score. Instead of staying at 5.5 i gave myself some empty net insurance.
Secondary Bet – Nazem Kadri under 3.5 shots on goal (-150)
A $1 bet pays out $1.66 – This is a bit more risky because Naz can go off for 5+ shots, but the average single game occurrence is 2. Again if we’re thinking defence wins here we’re betting the unders.
Tertiary Bet – Rasmus Andersson to get 1+ points (+100)
A $1 bet pays out $2 – Positive odds for the guy who plays more minutes than everyone else on the team to collect a singular point? I mean I’ve taken worse risks in life by eating gas station food.
