The Flames are playing on back-to-back nights, with travel. They’re also likely (a) putting their hot netminder Dan Vladar in net and (b) potentially putting some new faces into the lineup. They’re facing a Leafs team that hasn’t given up much offensively lately and has found ways to win, or get points, a lot.

Primary Bet – Total goals UNDER 4.5 (+275)
Back-to-back games for Calgary? And they’re likely starting their stingy goaltender? Feels like another low-scoring game.
Secondary bet – Auston Matthews anytime goalscorer (+105)
Shane and I discussed this on FlamesNation Radio this week: if you bet on Matthews or Alex Ovechkin to be a goal-scorer in every single game of the season, you’ll probably come out ahead. The odds aren’t massive, but you’ll make little bits of money here and there that will add up over a full season.
(Mitch Marner is on a 21-game point streak, but the odds for him to get 1+ point in this game aren’t particularly exciting and so it doesn’t seem like a good cost/benefit ratio for a potential bet.)
Tertiary Bet – Nazem Kadri anytime goalscorer (+175)
First game back in Toronto after winning a Stanley Cup with Colorado last season? Yeah, Kadri will be motivated, and this seems like a decent bet given the circumstances.
Remember bet safe and have fun!
