There still isn’t a lot of data to properly and viably use it this early in the season for predictions. The Flames – for instance – have spent two games playing a completely different style.brand of hockey than they gave the previous two years. After a couple weeks it will become more useful but for now going with what seems reliable and something you trust is what i recommend first and foremost.

Primary bet – Alex Ovechkin over 3.5 shots on goal (-134)
A $1 bet pays out $1.75 – The Capitals were blanked in their first game so the goal scorer shooting some shots seems like the safest play. Ovi can pile up more than 6 on the regular so that’s why this is first.
Secondary bet – Calgary Flames moneyline & over 5.5 total goals (+187)
A $1 bet pays out $2.87 – I think Calgary will start to correct a bit of their sloppiness and come out with the victory, but the Capitals will certainly find ways to score in this as well. Getting shutout again is highly unlikely.
Tertiary Bet – Matthew Phillips anytime goalscorer (+550)
A $1 bet pays out $5.50 – Look is this extremely likely? No. Is this really what i recommend, not really. Is it all vibes, all gas, no brakes? You bet. Go get your revenge kid – I hope you get it, too.
