The Calgary Flames were briefly shorthanded on the bench during Sunday afternoon’s game against the Arizona Coyotes. Head coach Bill Peters left the game during the second period after being struck in the side of the face by an errant puck.
Peters was helped to the locker room and received some stitches to the left side of his chin. But he managed to return to the bench prior to the end of the second period. In his absence the Flames scored two goals and didn’t allow any by Arizona.
