The Calgary Flames and the Chicago Blackhawks have split their two meetings so far this season, but the Flames hold the recent edge in matchups between the teams and sit as -145 betting favorites for Saturday on the NHL odds at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com.
Calgary and Chicago last met on January 7, with the Flames pulling out a 2-1 road victory as the -150 favorite at online sports betting sites. That improved the Flames to 7-1 in their last eight games against the Blackhawks dating back to December 2017.

Elias Lindholm had both goals for the Flames in that January victory, with Matthew Tkachuk picking up a pair of assists on the day, and Cam Talbot stopping 31 of 32 Chicago shots. Dominik Kubalik scored the Blackhawks’ lone goal in that losing cause, while Corey Crawford got the start between the pipes for Chicago and made 26 saves on 28 Calgary shots.
The Blackhawks had previously beaten the Flames 5-3 as +160 road underdogs in the first meeting of the season between the teams back on December 31. The OVER/UNDER has gone 1-1 on the betting totals in games between the two teams this season, and 6-3-1 in the past 10 games between Calgary and Chicago dating back to November 2016.
The Flames have won three of their last four games heading into Saturday’s matchup, knocking off the Anaheim Ducks 6-0 at -110 on the road on the moneyline in their most recent outing on Thursday night. That was the fourth straight OVER result in Flames contests according to the OddsShark NHL Database.
The Blackhawks are riding a five-game losing streak that has caused them serious problems in the race for a wild card berth in the Western Conference, with Chicago concluding a four-game Western Canada swing on Saturday night after falling in consecutive road games at Winnipeg, Edmonton, and Vancouver. The UNDER has paid out in four of their last six games.
