Bourque’s Back

Oct 18, 2010, 16:21 EDT
The theme of good news continues on your Monday at FlamesNation. First we’re giving away bar money, second we’re talking about 14 goals in nine games, and now we’re talking about the return of Rene Bourque to Flames practice this morning.
Bourque was skating with the fourth line group of Craig Conroy, Stefan Meyer and Brett Sutter, wearing a purple jersey as opposed to the yellow "no contact jersey".
His return comes eight days after suffering a "potential head injury" against the LA Kings last Sunday night, an injury many believed to be a concussion. He had trouble leaving the ice after the collision with LA’s Kevin Westgarth and hadn’t been seen skating until today.
Bourque was asked if he could play against the Nashville Predators on Tuesday night, but seemed to think he might be ready near the end of the three game road trip instead. Head Coach Brent Sutter said Bourque might be a gametime decision for Tuesday, however.
Sutter says Bourque has been cleared to play.
