Sportsnet announces bubble broadcast info

Good news, everybody! Our pals at Sportsnet have announced their broadcasting plans for the games emanating from the bubbles in Edmonton and Toronto, including those games involving your beloved Calgary Flames.
Here’s what you need to know (all times Mountain):
The exhibition game
The (exhibition) Battle of Alberta between the Flames and the dastardly Edmonton Oilers will be Tue., July 28. It’ll be broadcast on Sportsnet’s national feed (with Chris Cuthbert and Louie DeBrusk on the call) and Sportsnet 960 The Fan.
Beware: only the three all-Canadian exhibition games will be broadcast. In addition to Calgary/Edmonton, there will be Toronto/Edmonton (July 28 at 6 p.m.) and Vancouver/Winnipeg (July 29 at 8:30 p.m.), both on Sportsnet’s national feed.
The qualifying round
Cuthbert and DeBrusk will be residing in the bubble in Edmonton and will be calling every single game – qualifying and round robin – within that bubble.
Our understanding is all the Flames games will be broadcast on Sportsnet 960 The Fan. Here’s the TV rundown.
- Sat. Aug. 1 – Flames vs. Jets, 8:30 p.m., Sportsnet (national) and CBC
- Mon., Aug. 3 – Flames vs. Jets, 12:30 p.m., Sportsnet (national)
- Tue., Aug. 4 – Jets vs. Flames, 4:45 p.m., Sportsnet (national)
The league and Sportsnet will announce times and broadcast info for Games 4 (Aug. 6) and 5 (Aug. 8) as they become necessary.
It seems like the Canadian team games will be prioritized on Sportsnet’s main national feeds, while other games will appear on Sportsnet 360 and Sportsnet One.
