The Calgary Flames have had another postponement added to their schedule. Citing attendance restrictions, the National Hockey League has officially postponed their Dec. 31 home date against the Winnipeg Jets.
No makeup date has been announced.
The Flames have now had eight games postponed:
- Dec. 13 at Chicago
- Dec. 14 at Nashville
- Dec. 16 vs. Toronto
- Dec. 18 vs. Columbus
- Dec. 21 vs. Anaheim
- Dec. 23 vs. Seattle
- Dec. 27 vs. Edmonton
- Dec. 31 vs. Winnipeg
That’s six home games (and two road games) that need to be rescheduled in the coming months.
The Dec. 30 road game in Seattle is still on the books. Starting Dec. 30, there are 121 games remaining in the 2021-22 season and the Flames will have 54 games left to play. That’s a game every 2.24 days, even counting the three day All-Star Break as part of the playing season.
Once games get back underway, the Flames will have a very, very hectic scheduled ahead of them.
