<p>Mantha played six shifts for 5:06 of ice time in the first period, playing on a line with Jonathan Huberdeau and Yegor Sharangovich. But Mantha was seemingly injured late in the period in a collision with Canadiens forward Emil Heineman behind the Montreal net.</p>

Flames head coach Ryan Huska was asked about Mantha in his post-game media address, and indicated he had no update on his status.</p>
<p>The 30-year-old Mantha is a left shot forward that signed the Flames as an unrestricted free agent this past summer on a one-year deal with a $3.5 million cap hit. He&#8217;s played primarily in the top three forward lines and has shown flashes of brilliance when he&#8217;s used his size and mobility effectively, and he&#8217;s four goals and seven points over 13 games so far this season. But he was also briefly demoted by Huska to the fourth line, as he didn&#8217;t quite play to the standard the coaching staff expected. Most recently, he scored a deflection goal against Edmonton and served as a screen on Stuart Skinner on Calgary&#8217;s other goal in Sunday&#8217;s 4-2 loss to the Oilers.</p>
