Pals, when it comes to the Calgary Flames’ prospects, there are a handful of them that get a lot of media and fan attention.
And rightfully so! Past first-round picks like Carson Carels, Cole Reschny, Cullen Potter and Jack Hextall have impressed. So have players taken a little later like Alan Shaikhlislamov, Chase Harrington and Ethan Wyttenbach.
But let’s not sleep on 2024 fourth-rounder Trevor Hoskin. He was drafted in his third year of draft eligibility after a breakout season as a 20-year-old in the OJHL. Then he went to college and really impressed with Niagara University. Then he moved to Merrimack College, in a tougher conference, and helped lead them to a conference playoff tournament win.
Early in his junior year of college, he’s off to another strong start.
We’re not sure entirely where he fits into the Flames’ plans, but don’t forget his name.
Onto your stats updates!
