The new, shorter pre-season schedule will conclude for the Calgary Flames on Saturday night in Edmonton. But before the curtain is drawn on their exhibition calendar, it’s time for a rematch with the team that beat them on home ice in their pre-season opener, the Seattle Kraken. The Flames are sending a mostly AHL-bound group to the Emerald City to face a group that’s more or less the opening night Kraken lineup.

We’ll see how it goes.

The game starts just after 7:40 p.m. MT, with the Flames site and app streaming the game regionally and the call over the airwaves on QR Calgary! (They have a 90-minute pre-game show on QR Calgary starting at 6:10 p.m. MT!)

The Flames’ AHL group lost 4-2 to Seattle on Sunday. Their NHL group beat Vancouver 3-1 on Tuesday.

The “veterans” for the Flames’ group are Nylander, Hunt, Harrington, Basha, Hanley, Brzustewicz, Pachal, Englund and Cooley. (The 100-gamers are Nylander, Hunt, Hanley, Pachal, Englund and Cooley.)

The big news for this one: the pre-season appearance for 2026 second-rounder Chase Harrington! But we’ll also get look-sees at Aydar Suniev and Hunter Brzustewicz, two players pushing for NHL duty amidst a crowded NHL roster (on paper).

Seattle used their secondary, Coachella Valley, group early on, and those youngsters beat Vancouver on Saturday and Calgary on Sunday. Thursday evening will be a more veteran-filled group.
