The Calgary Flames have made their first selection of the second day of the 2024 NHL Draft. At 41st overall, the Flames have selected forward Andrew Basha from the Western Hockey League&#8217;s Medicine Hat Tigers.
A Calgary product – he played in Glenlake growing up – Basha ia a left shot winger listed at 6&#8217;0&#8243; and 187 pounds. This past season, his third with the Tigers, he had 30 goals and 55 assists for 85 points in 63 games. His teammate Cayden Lindstrom might have drawn more draft attention – and rightfully so, Lindstrom rules – but Basha turned a lot of heads with his play during the season. Scouts often came to Tigers games to watch Lindstrom, but came away with a lot of enthusiasm about Basha, too.
