Demetrios Koumontzis and Dustin Wolf to represent Team USA at Summer Showcase

A pair of Calgary Flames prospects will be in action when USA Hockey hosts their annual Summer Showcase event in Plymouth, Michigan at the end of July. Forward Demetrios Koumontzis will join goaltender Dustin Wolf for the week-long camp.
Wolf, 18, was on USA Hockey’s original roster. He’s coming off a heck of a season where he was one of the top goaltenders in the entire Western Hockey League. He was the Flames’ seventh round pick in the recent 2019 NHL Draft.
Koumontzis, 19, had a strong freshman season himself with the upstart Arizona State University Sun Devils. The independent program qualified for the NCAA’s Frozen Four tournament, with Koumontzis playing an important depth role on the club. He was one of three Flames fourth round selections in the 2018 NHL Draft. He’ll skate in the camp in place of injured forward Robert Mastrosimone.
The Summer Showcase runs July 26-Aug. 3 in Plymouth, Michigan, and features a pair of American squads taking on entries from Canada, Finland and Sweden in under-20 exhibition action.
