Dustin Wolf invited to Team USA’s World Junior selection camp

To the shock of precisely nobody, Calgary Flames prospect Dustin Wolf has been invited to USA Hockey’s World Junior selection camp. Wolf was one of three goaltenders on the preliminary roster released by USA Hockey on Monday.
The selection camp runs Dec. 6-13 in Plymouth, Michigan.
Spencer Knight and Wolf were the goalie tandem for Team USA at last year’s World Juniors, so it seems likely they’ll be slotted as the starter and backup (again), respectively. All World Junior teams take three goalies to the tournament – two dress per game – so barring anything wacky happening Wolf will make his second trip to the World Juniors.
Not invited to camp is Michigan State sophomore – and Flames prospect – Josh Nodler, as he wasn’t among the 17 forwards invited to selection camp. He attended October’s evaluation camp.
The 2021 World Juniors take place in Edmonton and Red Deer beginning Dec. 25.
