The Flames will be without the services of Michael Ferland for a while, according to Flames GM Brad Treliving.
Treliving announced Sunday morning that Michael Ferland suffered a sprained knee in Friday’s tilt against the Detroit Red Wings and will be out “week-to-week.”

The bulldozer-like Flame attempted to hit Tomas Tatar early in the second period on Friday night, but appeared to have come out of the hit feeling the worst of it. Ferland returned to the bench favouring his knee and did not return.
In response, the Flames recalled energy forward Derek Grant from the Stockton Heat to replace the injured forward.
