Flames assign Buddy Robinson to Stockton

The Calgary Flames have made their first deadline day move. The club announced they have assigned forward Buddy Robinson to the Stockton Heat of the American Hockey League.
Robinson was in his 29th day on the NHL roster. If he had stayed any longer he would need to be put on waivers to go back to the AHL, and he would’ve been ineligible to play in the AHL for the remainder of the season. He’s been a healthy scratch in each of the Flames’ last eight games. Considering his age and waiver status, it’ll be interesting if the Flames bother to bring him back up after the deadline.
In five NHL games with the Flames, Robinson had a goal. In 40 AHL games with Stockton, he had 30 points.
