In advance of Monday’s roster deadline, the Calgary Flames have assigned two players to the minors. Blueliner Dennis Gilbert and forward Radim Zohorna, who both cleared waivers Sunday afternoon, have been assigned to the American Hockey League’s Calgary Wranglers.
The Flames’ roster was at 25 players prior to Sunday. Juuso Valimaki being claimed on waivers by Arizona and Zohorna being assigned to the Wranglers reduces it to 23 players, including unsigned PTO blueliner Michael Stone.
Gilbert was on the club’s injured list, along with Emilio Pettersen and Martin Pospisil, and wasn’t counted among the 25 players on the active roster.
The Flames will announce their 2022-23 opening roster after Monday’s 3 p.m. MT deadline.
