He’s back!
After leaving Game 6 against the Dallas Stars after the second period, Calgary Flames blueliner Chris Tanev has returned to the lineup for Game 4 against the Edmonton Oilers.
Tanev missed Game 7 against Dallas and Games 1 through 3 against Edmonton due to injury. In his absence, Michael Stone was elevated from being the team’s seventh defender into playing on the second pairing – first with Oliver Kylington and later with Nikita Zadorov.
The defensive pairings in warm-up for Game 4 were:
- Noah Hanifin and Rasmus Andersson
- Kylington and Tanev
- Zadorov and Erik Gudbranson
Stone stays in the lineup and will be the seventh defender. Brett Ritchie is coming out, as the Flames will use 11 forwards.
