<p>After a sweep of the Vancouver Canucks on Sunday night, the Calgary Flames head west looking to continue their (pre-season) winning ways. They&#8217;re taking a group of their bubble and depth players to Seattle to face the Kraken.</p>

<p>It&#8217;s a fairly bubble-centric group for the Flames facing a lot of Seattle&#8217;s better players (and up-and-comers). The Flames&#8217; depth guys out-worked Vancouver&#8217;s stars at Rogers Arena on Sunday. Can a lot of the same players put in a repeat performance?</p>

<li>Andrew Mangiapane is being eased in the pre-season after returning from a minor injury</li>
<li>Nazem Kadri is being eased into the pre-season after playing until the end of June</li>
<li>Chris Tanev is being eased into the pre-season after undergoing off-season shoulder surgery</li>
<li>Brett Ritchie, Martin Pospisil and Emilio Pettersen all were held out of Monday&#8217;s on-ice sessions due to minor injuries</li>
<li>Oliver Kylington is on personal leave from the team</li>
<li>Jacob Markstrom is likely being load managed, as he played 60 games (and playoffs) last season and will probably do that again this season</li>

<h2><strong>What to watch</strong></h2>
<p>For the Flames, a handful of forwards may be the focus: Up-and-coming prospects Ruzicka and Zary are on a line with Milano, who&#8217;s on a PTO and looking to cement a top-nine role. A line down in the rotation are a trio of promising AHLers in Pelletier, Jones and Phillips who will be looking to work themselves into the conversation for an NHL gig.</p>
<p>For the Kraken, the obvious choice is Shane Wright. He was awesome last season and somehow fell to Seattle in the draft. But also keep an eye on their fourth line: Puturalski was one of the top players in the AHL last season, while Firkus has been impressing WHL fans for a few seasons.</p>
