Flames recall Andrew Mangiapane from Stockton

After sending Dillon Dube to the Stockton Heat on Thursday, the Calgary Flames have made a corresponding recall. They’ve summoned left wing Andrew Mangiapane from Stockton.
Mangiapane, 22, is in the third year of his entry-level deal. In each of the three seasons he’s impressed at the AHL level, progressing to the point where he’s easily been Stockton’s best offensive player and on-ice leader in most situations. In 13 games this season he has seven goals and 14 points with the Heat. He spent a few weeks with the Flames last season, appearing in 10 NHL contests but failing to register a point.
The Flames host the Los Angeles Kings on Friday night. If Mangiapane dresses for the game, the team will be icing three players from their 2015 NHL Draft class (Mangiapane, Rasmus Andersson and Oliver Kylington).
