The Calgary Flames have made a roster move, as they’ve announced the recall of forward Brett Ritchie from the AHL’s Stockton (Calgary) Heat.
No corresponding move was announced as of yet.
Per our pal Pat Steinberg, Ritchie and Dominik Simon were the extra forwards in main group at Monday’s practice.

Ritchie, 27, was signed by the Flames last month after joining the club on a pro try-out during training camp. He’s been skating with the AHL group up to this point. He’s played 268 NHL games and with head coach Geoff Ward noting that the team has been soft in some areas, adding a big body with a reputation for physical play makes some sense.
