#Flames fans — the flags are sticking around. Per the "full retro" press release and a source that I just double-checked with, the Flames' previous Adidas home jersey will remain as the team's third jersey for the 2020–21 season, worn on specific dates.

Flames will wear retro home and away jerseys in 2020-21

Shocking, unexpected news everyone! For their 40th season of play in Calgary, the Calgary Flames will be wearing their snazzy retro duds at home and on the road. The club confirmed the worst-kept secret in local sports with an announcement video on Monday morning.
(The Flames celebrated their 40th anniversary season in 2019-20, but since the 2004-05 season was washed out by a lockout the 2020-21 campaign will be their 40th season of play.)
At home, the Flames will be wearing the simple red retro sweater – a red sweater with a white Flaming C with gold trim. The design was originally the club’s road sweater from 1972-80 (in Atlanta) and 1980-94 (in Calgary). It’s been revived three separate times as an alternate home sweater since then: 2019-13, 2016-17 and 2018-present. It is quite simply a very tidy, classic look and probably the team’s best-ever jersey design.
On the road, the Flames will be wearing their retro whites – a white sweater with a red Flaming C and red shoulders. The design was originally the club’s home sweater from 1972-80 (in Atlanta) and 1980-94 (in Calgary). It was recently revived in 2019 for the Heritage Classic and was well-received enough that it’s sticking around.
Nobody’s sure when the 2020-21 season will begin, but the Flames will be trying to dazzle their opposition with style.
