FlamesNation Radio…Again!

Jun 25, 2011, 15:55 EDT

When we did this on Thursday night, it was a resounding success on Sportsnet Radio FAN 960, but on that night, we only had things to speculate on. Now that all five of Calgary’s picks have been made, now that Alex Tanguay has been re-signed, and now that Robyn Regher’s time with the Flames is over, it’s time for another edition of FlamesNation Radio, starting at 3 pm. This show is 100% interactive; drive the discussion by leaving your comments on this thread, by calling 403-240-4444 or *960 on Rogers Wireless, or by tweeting @kent_wilson or @Fan960Steinberg.
Once again, if you leave your commenting name with our call screener, we’ll bump you to the front of the line. Here are a few of the topics up for discussion…
- The Robyn Regehr trade. Reg gets sent to Buffalo along with Ales Kotalik and a 2012 second round pick in exchange for defenceman Chris Butler and forward Paul Byron.
- The Alex Tanguay signing. Tanguay extended his contract with the Flames for five more years at $17 million overall, good for an annual cap hit of $3.4 million.
- Calgary’s draft. The Flames selected Sven Bartschi with their 13th overall pick on Friday before making four more selections on Saturday: Markus Granlund, Tyler Wotherspoon, John Gaudreau, and Laurent Brossoit.
Let’s make this another epic show, because you guys made it one last time.
