Fans of the @Calgary Flames have high opinions of several of their players. As it turns out, the folks at TSN share that high opinion regarding four Flames. Four Flames – @Johnny Gaudreau, @Mark Giordano, @Sean Monahan and @Matthew Tkachuk – were named to the list.
ICYMI, A NATURAL HAT TRICK: Connor McDavid is our No. 1 ranked NHLer for a 3rd straight year entering this season.

Gaudreau is ranked 16th and is the third left wing on the list, behind Alex Ovechkin (7th) and Brad Marchand (8th). The 2011 fourth round pick finished tied for seventh in NHL scoring last season with 99 points. This is the highest he’s placed on TSN’s list since entering the league.
Giordano, the reigning Norris Trophy winner, is ranked 28th. He’s behind Victor Hedman (9th), Brent Burns (13th) and Erik Karlsson (27th) as far as rearguards are concerned. Oddly, despite being a perennial Norris contender since donning the captain’s C in 2013-14, Giordano hasn’t found himself on TSN’s Top 50 until this year.
Tkachuk (46th) and Monahan (47th) crept onto the list at the very end, both making their first appearances. Both players enjoyed strong offensive seasons in 2018-19, both scoring 34 goals and finishing in the top 35 in league scoring.
Should any Flames players be higher than where TSN placed them? Were any Flames snubbed from this list? Sound off in the comments!
