If you&#8217;re hoping for the Calgary Flames to name a new head coach soon, we have some good news! It sure is looking like things are progressing in that direction. On Monday&#8217;s edition of the Jeff Marek Show on the Sportsnet Radio Network, Elliotte Friedman indicated that things are moving into the second phase of interviews and that the club is interviewing four or five individuals for that job opening.

The Flames have been without a head coach since they announced the departure of Darryl Sutter back on May 1. They&#8217;ve been conducting interviews over the past couple of weeks, with an assortment of names being bandied about – including internal candidates Ryan Huska, Mitch Love and Kirk Muller.
