How to watch Flames prospects during the 2026-27 season

Folks, some of the most compelling hockey talents in the Calgary Flames organization are their up-and-coming prospects.
Over the course of the season, perhaps you’ll want to take in some prospect action from the comfort of your own home with a reliable viewing source. With that in mind, and with much of the hockey world getting going this week, here’s how you can watch Flames prospects from around the hockey world – we’ve included links so you can visit each service and evaluate if that’s how you want to invest your hockey-watching dollar.
YouTube
Alright, first and foremost, YouTube has a bunch of free streams available for several leagues.
The most prominent is the Western Hockey League, where Flames prospects Chase Harrington (Spokane), Joe Iginla (Vancouver), Bode Laylin (Everett), Jakob Leander (Calgary), and Mace’o Phillips (Medicine Hat) all play.
But don’t forget about Russia! The Molodezhnaya hokkeinaya liga (MHL), their top junior league, has games streamed on YouTube, as does the minor-pro Vserossiyskaya hokkeinaya liga (VHL). Yan Matveiko (Krasnaya Armiya) and Alan Shaikhlislamov (Tolpar Ufa) play in the MHL, but Matveiko has also played in the VHL this season.
FloHockey
If you’re willing to spend to watch quality streams, FloHockey offers a good deal of value.
Want to see the players that could be called up to the Flames very soon? Well, the Calgary Wranglers and the entire American Hockey League have their games streamed on FloHockey, as does the ECHL, in case any prominent Wranglers get sent to Rapid City.
In addition to the AHL, you can catch the Ontario Hockey League – where Simon Katolicky (Sarnia) plays – and occasional Swedish Hockey League games, too.
(If you’re hardcore and don’t mind fighting with Google Translate, TV4Play offers SHL games in Swedish and it sounds like it’s available worldwide, but we’re not 100% sure.)
Various college streaming platforms
Our current expectation is that TSN will be streaming some games on TSN+, their streaming platform, as they have in prior seasons. But a schedule for that hasn’t been announced quite yet, so we’ll direct you towards the streaming services for the specific conferences.
The NCHC conference features Arizona State (Cade Littler), Denver (Eric Jamieson), Miami (Yegor Yegorov) and North Dakota (Carson Carels and Cole Reschny). Their streaming service is NCHC.tv.
The Big Ten conference features Michigan State (Cullen Potter and Jack Hextall), Michigan (Henry Mews) and Penn State (Luke Misa). Their streaming service is BigTen+.
The Hockey East conference features UMass (Egor Barabanov, Tobias Trejbal and Max Curran), Maine (Jaden Lipinski) and Merrimack College (Trevor Hoskin). Their streaming service is HockeyEast.tv.
The ECAC conference features Quinnipiac (Ethan Wyttenbach) and Harvard (Aidan Lane). Their streaming service is ECACHockey.tv.
