Josh Leivo removed from COVID-19 protocol list

After 14 days, Calgary Flames forward Josh Leivo has been removed from the National Hockey League’s list of players unavailable due to the COVID-19 protocols as of Friday afternoon.
Leivo was placed on the list way back on April 23 after having a positive COVID-19 test. Due to the regulations of the positive test protocol, Leivo was required to isolate and thus he hasn’t skated or participated in team practices for two weeks. Leivo was unavailable to the Flames for six games while he was within the protocol. With Leivo being away from practice for two weeks, it seems unlikely that he’ll be an option for the Flames for Sunday’s game with Ottawa.
Signed in the off-season as a restricted free agent, Leivo has played 36 games for the Flames and registered five goals and seven points this season, playing primarily on the fourth line. He hasn’t dressed for 15 games overall, nine of which he was a healthy scratch by the coaching staff.
