Mark your calendars: times reportedly set for Games 1-3 of Flames and Jets

We don’t have official word from the league or broadcasters yet, but it seems like times are starting to emerge from the online chatter. In the case of the Calgary Flames, a pretty reliable source has reported some times for the Flames’ qualifying round series with the Winnipeg Jets.
That’s right: our pal Pat.
The reported times are:
- Game 1: Sat., Aug. 1 at 8:30 p.m. MT
- Game 2: Mon., Aug. 3 at 12:30 p.m. MT
- Game 3: Tue., Aug. 4 at 4:30 p.m. MT
Monday is Alberta Heritage Day, a provincial holiday that recognizes and celebrates the varied culture heritage of Albertans (according to the provincial government website). It takes place a month before the anniversary of Alberta becoming a province in 1905, probably because we already had a long weekend in September in the form of Labour Day.
Games 4 and 5, if necessary, are scheduled for Thu., Aug. 6 and Sat., Aug. 8. In keeping with tradition, those games won’t have times hammered out until it’s clear if they’ll be needed to decide the series.
