<p>The Calgary Flames will welcome their up-and-coming prospects to town later this week for their 2024 development camp.</p>

<p>While the camp is primarily meant to familiarize the club&#8217;s prospects with the organization and help nudge along their on and off-ice development, there are often players invited to camp from outside the Flames bubble in an effort to get a look-see at them up close before perhaps inviting them to more camps in the future.</p>
<p>11 players received try-out invites this year: three goalies, four defencemen, four forwards.</p>
<h2><strong>G Ethan McCallum</strong></h2>
<p>A Brandon product, McCallum was teammates with Andrew Basha this past season with the WHL&#8217;s Medicine Hat Tigers. He played 23 games as a rookie, posting an .886 save percentage and an 11-8-1 record. An April 2006 birthday, McCallum went unclaimed in the 2024 NHL Draft.</p>
<h2><strong>G Zach Pelletier</strong></h2>
<p>A Quebec product who&#8217;s not related to Jakob Pelletier, Zach was the eighth-ranked North American goalie by Central Scouting but didn&#8217;t get selected. He&#8217;s a July 2006 birthday and played 43 games for Gatineau last season as a rookie starter.</p>
<h2><strong>G Callum Tung</strong></h2>
<p>A 20-year-old goalie headed to the University of Connecticut in the fall, Tung posted a .917 save percentage in 38 games with Port Alberni of the BCHL.</p>
<h2><strong>D Hayden Hennen</strong></h2>
<p>A Minnesota product, the 6&#8217;3&#8243; Hennen is headed back to Augustana University for his sophomore year after putting up 14 points in 32 games as a freshman.</p>
<h2><strong>D Evan Murr</strong></h2>
<p>A right shot defender, Murr had 26 points in 37 games as a freshman with Minnesota State Mankato.</p>
<h2><strong>D Isa Parekh</strong></h2>
<p>Zayne&#8217;s big brother, who&#8217;s headed to Bemidji State University in the fall, Parekh had 38 points in 52 games with the BCHL&#8217;s Nanaimo Clippers last season.</p>
<h2><strong>D Rowan Topp</strong></h2>
<p>A 6&#8217;2&#8243; right shot blueliner from the OHL&#8217;s Guelph Storm, Topp had seven points in his rookie OHL season and went undrafted in his first year of eligibility.</p>
<h2><strong>F Kaden Bohlsen</strong></h2>
<p>A 6&#8217;3&#8243; right shot forward, Bohlsen had 21 points in 37 games with Minnesota State Mankato after transferring from Nebraska-Omaha. He could be looking for a pro gig.</p>
<h2><strong>F Trevor Janicke</strong></h2>
<p>The oldest player in camp, Janicke was drafted by Anaheim in 2019 and played five years in college – he had 16 points in 32 games with Notre Dame last year as a redshirt senior. He could be looking for a pro gig.</p>
<h2><strong>F Carter King</strong></h2>
<p>A 22-year-old Calgary kid, King had 34 points in 39 games last season and served as an alternate captain for the University of Denver Pioneers and was part of their national championship team. He could be looking for a pro gig.</p>
<h2><strong>F Luke McNamara</strong></h2>
<p>A centre who split last season between Saginaw and Kingston of the OHL, McNamara had 34 points in 60 games last season, but was passed over in his second year of draft eligibility.</p>
