Michael Frolik Leaves Tonight’s Game With Upper-Body Injury

The Calgary Flames may soon get healthier with the impending return of Lance Bouma, but the chances of them becoming fully healthy just took a bit of a hit. Winger Michael Frolik left tonight’s game in Nashville with what’s being termed an “upper-body injury.”
The injury was announced by the Flames official twitter early in the third period of tonight’s game.
Frolik appears to have suffered the injury in a collision with Predators blueliner Mattias Ekholm late in the second period. (Video after the jump.)
We’ll have more updates on Frolik’s condition as they become available. Heading into tonight’s game, he was fourth on the team in points with 16 points in 29 games, and has been a fixture on the penalty kill and the team’s second and third lines.
