Mike Smith to start Sunday in San Jose

Calgary Flames netminder David Rittich earned his first career shutout in Saturday night’s victory over the Los Angeles Kings. But his performance hasn’t changed the plans for Mike Smith to play Sunday night’s game against the San Jose Sharks.
Rittich made 21 saves in the Flames’ 1-0 shutout victory in Los Angeles. The victory boosted his season statistics to 5-1-0 with a 1.91 goals against average and .935 save percentage (in eight appearances). For comparison’s sake, Smith is 5-5-1 with a 3.66 goals against average and .872 save percentage (in 11 appearances).
