#Flames Mike Smith honouring Mike Vernon with the new mask... Painted as a Vernon replica... those are Smith's ears though. Should fit in perfectly with the retro jerseys.

Calgary Flames goaltender Mike Smith has a reputation for having really fun, colourful masks and goalie gear. He has different masks and equipment for the Flames’ home and road uniforms. With the vintage jerseys back as third jerseys, he had a new mask made to go with that jersey, too.
The mask, presumably painted by Dave Arrigo (who has done all of Smith’s masks), pays tribute to Flames netminder Mike Vernon – he was the team’s goalie when they won a Stanley Cup in 1989 and his #30 jersey is retired by the club. Smith also has red and orange pads to go with the mask.
The Flames will wear their vintage third jerseys 12 times this season, beginning with Saturday night’s game against Vancouver.
