FlamesNation managing editor Ryan Pike took to the airwaves on Wednesday. Following the football game, he jumped on Sportsnet 960 The Fan to join Will Nault and Logan Gordon for the daily Flames roundtable.
The main focus of the roundtable was looking at a team the Flames beat in the post-season (and may have to again in the anticipated Canadian Division), the Winnipeg Jets. The panel broke down the Jets cap situation, their off-season moves, and how vulnerable they are to a key injury or two on their roster. All this plus Pike compared the Jets’ usage of Connor Hellebuyck to the Flames’ usage of Miikka Kiprusoff years ago. The panel closes out with a discussion of the current impasse between the NHL and NHLPA on formats for the 2020-21 NHL regular season.
