The Moose had won their last meeting against the Wranglers a month ago in overtime by a score of 4-3. They scored another four goals on the Wranglers in this meeting, but unfortunately, the Wranglers were unable to keep up. Tuesday’s game ended with the Moose coming out on top 4-1. </span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400">This game got off to a decent start with both sides looking chippy and energetic. Dustin Wolf got the start after getting the game off on Sunday afternoon. He held things down to start things off stopping all of Manitoba’s shots through the first. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">The first player to break open the scoring was Cole Schwindt with his eighth goal of the season. Jakob Pelletier got the lone assist and Connor Zary appeared to be screening a little too close to the opposing goaltender. These three played on a line together in this game and it worked well enough to get one goal at 17:21 into the first period.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400">The Wranglers and Moose just about went shot for shot in the first period with Manitoba ending the opening frame with a slight 9-8 edge. That was about as close as things stayed until the Moose took off in the second period. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">Jeff Malott from the Moose tied things up early in the second on the power play just under three minutes into the period. They struck again later in the period, this time shorthanded. Not the best way to try and get some momentum back into your game. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">The Moose absolutely caught the Wranglers on their heels in the second, out-shooting them 21-10 in just that period and taking the lead 2-1. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">In the third, the Wranglers’ misfortune continued. Jeff Malott struck again 12:07 into the period and the lead grew further out of reach of the home team. Both even-strength goals up to this point by Malott included some sloppy defence that was not as aggressive as it needed to be to give Wolf the best shot at stopping the puck. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">The Moose snuck in one more goal in the last minute on the empty net and this game was pretty well secured. With 28 seconds to go in the game, tensions boiled over and both sides were at each other’s throats. This resulted in five 10-minute game misconduct calls, three in which were given to Calgary’s Connor Zary, Mitch McLain and Adam Klapka. Jakob Pelletier was in the box serving a roughing call for Zary to end the game. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">Some drama to carry over into the next game it seems. The Moose were the better team in this game and won 4-1. Shots finished with Manitoba ahead 39-35. This snapped the Wranglers&#8217; six-game winning streak and their perfect month of wins up until this point. </span></p>
