After the departure of Jiri Hudler yesterday, all Calgary Flames fans seem to want to ask about is Kris Russell. And unfortunately, Twitter has been real quiet about Flames trade rumours until earlier this afternoon.

The Stars currently own their own first and second round picks this season, and own all of their picks in the 2017 Draft. They’ve also developed a pretty good development and farm system, consistently graduating good players from the AHL’s Texas Stars onto their AHL roster.

So if the Flames are hoping to get a high pick and a prospect from Dallas for Russell, they might be barking up the right tree.
