It’s been a unique year for the Calgary Flames. Coming off a 2022-23 season that saw the team fail to make the playoffs – and contributed to a changeover of their general manager and head coach – the Flames got some new leadership this season and had to face an existential problem. Would they double down on their existing core, or go in a new direction?
On Friday morning, FlamesNation managing editor Ryan Pike joined Tyler Yaremchuk and Frank Seravalli on Daily Faceoff Live to discuss the Flames’ season and where they go from here.
Among the topics covered in their chat:
- Has the season been a success in the context of beginning the retooling process?
- What’s going to happen in the Flames’ net next season?
- What’s Craig Conroy’s potential off-season approach going to be?
- And hey, what are the next steps with the new Calgary arena?
