Minor Calgary Flames news this morning, folks. Scotiabank will be the team’s helmet sponsor for the 2020-21 season.

The club’s arena sponsor since October 2010, Scotiabank will have a very minimalist “S” logo on the helmets at home and on the road. Compared to some of the other possible sponsors, Scotiabank makes a lot of sense and is arguably one of the less jarring inclusions of sponsorships on team gear throughout the league.
The helmet sponsorships are intended to be short-term and primarily used as make-goods by the league’s clubs to sponsors that may have paid for advertising in the pandemic-shortened 2019-20 campaign.
The Flames begin their 2020-21 season on Jan. 14 against the Winnipeg Jets.
